It is with great sadness that we learnt of the recent death of Dr David Evans.
David worked tirelessly for the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust, having been appointed to the committee shortly after its inception.
He held numerous positions in the Trust and was one of the driving forces that helped make the organisation the success it is today.
His unwavering support, enthusiasm, energy, common sense and good humour was an inspiration to all of those who came into contact with him and he will be greatly missed by us all.
The Trust is currently in discussion with Dorset County Hospital to see if a fitting memorial to his life and work for cancer sufferers in Dorset can be installed in the newly opened Fortuneswell Cancer Unit.
Our thoughts are with his wife, family and friends at this sad time.
