We wish to say a very big thank you to everyone that has made a donation to or fundraised for Fortuneswell Cancer Trust.
Over 12,000 patients receive treatment every year in the Fortuneswell Outpatient Unit and Ward. Many of us have already had very good reason to be grateful to the Unit, and many more will need its services in the future.
With your help Fortuneswell Cancer Trust has donated £358,000 to the Dorset County Hospital Cancer Appeal which has now achieved its target and the Robert White Therapy Centre is now in use. And due to your generosity, we have managed to continue to fund smaller projects at the same time.

About Us
Fortuneswell Cancer Trust is a registered charity that seeks to improve the services to cancer patients in Dorset, mainly through Dorset County Hospital. We have no paid staff – the Trust is run by Trustees and a Committee with other volunteers helping out when necessary. Our running costs are minimal so donations really do help cancer patients locally. The Trust has the full support of Dorset County Hospital Management.
Fundraising
Fortuneswell Cancer Trust would not be able to carry out its work without the support of our many fundraisers. Not only do you raise large sums of money but you raise the profile of Fortuneswell Cancer Trust and highlight the great work that the Fortuneswell Unit carries out for local cancer patients.
Fund Allocation
Through the generosity of donors and the work of fundraisers, we are able achieve our aim of providing support to cancer patients and staff at the Fortuneswell Unit and the Robert White Therapy Centre. Working with the staff at Dorset County Hospital, the Trustees and Committee of the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust determine the best way to spend the money that has been donated to the Trust.
