It started with a barn dance at Upwey and Broadwey Memorial Hall on Saturday 10 February with the Tree Fellahs. The following afternoon, in the Convivial Rabbit, in Dorchester, the fundraising frolics continued with Chimney Fish, Show of Fingers and then, to round off the afternoon, Moonfleet. On Tuesday 13 February, in the Stable Bar, Drax Arms, Bere Regis, there was one last thrust, featuring Boodle, Paul Openshaw and the Bere Essentials. This combined effort raised £1,400.00 towards the very worthwhile cause of “Fortuneswell Cancer Care” and on 15 March at the Convivial Rabbit there was a grand presentation of the amount raised to committee members of the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust. Thank you very much to everyone who contributed.
