In Lyme Regis Golf Club’s 125th anniversary year, both the Ladies’ Captain, Susan Moore and the Men’s Captain, Lee Caddy chose the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust for their charity of the year.
Aided by Lee’s partner, fundraiser Lynnette Ravenscroft, they raised a record £20,125.18 in a series of well supported events.
Lynnette said: “Lyme Regis is only a small town but it has a big heart. The local people and businesses have been amazingly generous. The Fortuneswell Cancer Trust works so hard to improve local cancer services without any paid staff and we all know someone who has benefitted from their efforts.”
Paul Ryan, Chairman of the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust said: “This is one of our biggest donations this year and it will greatly help a current major project.
