Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is a charitable organisation which supports people from north, south and west Dorset who have an illness which significantly limits their life. We support the patient, their families and special friends. Our aim is to support the patient in the way, the place and the time which they feel best serves them. The patient’s needs will change during the course of their illness and, therefore, we have a mixture of services to offer. Our intention is to help patients enjoy as good a quality of life as they are able. We also try and help families and friends manage the impact their loved one’s illness has on their own lives.
Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is an organisation which specialises in palliative care. This is care given to help people live as good a life as possible when, unfortunately, their illness cannot be cured.
Leukaemia CARE exists to provide vital care and support to all those whose lives are affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and the allied blood disorders. Our work extends to the welfare of families and carers, as well as that of patients themselves.
“Our aim is to look after those people who are suffering or affected by leukaemia and allied blood disorders. Quite simply… ‘supporting a quality of life’ ”
